The Multiplier Program can help cooperator herds secure a premium for elite calf-crop performance, while Trans Ova Genetics matches management systems with elite breeders’ goals. Multiplier herds that deliver results get rewarded and elite breeders benefit from this weaned calf option.

Trans Ova Genetics works with producers to estrus-synchronize their cattle and then transfer embryos from elite donors.  Producers gestate these elite calves using their own cows.  The calves are then raised to weaning age, when they are sold back to the original embryo owners.  Prices are set prior to embryo transfers, so both costs and performance measures are predetermined.
