Health-Certified Recipients
Using Angus-based females, Trans Ova Genetics offers health-qualified embryo recipients chosen for top health, condition and behavior. To ensure top health standards, Trans Ova Genetics’ health-certification includes screening for BVD, Johne’s, Leukosis, Anaplasmosis, Brucellosis and Neospora – as well as body condition assessment.
Breeders of animals specifically selected to perform with aggressive behavior traits understand that the individual personality of the birth mother plays a role in the attitude and behavior of the calf she will raise – even if it is not her own genetics. The more aggressive females entering the Trans Ova Genetics’ Health-Certified Recipient Program are sorted out for specific use in raising ET, IVF or cloned calves for this breeding goal.
Once recipients are confirmed pregnant with client embryos and ultrasounded at approximately 60 days, the health-certified recipients are purchased by the client and taken to their own ranches for gestation and calving.
